My style of sculpture is based upon utilizing focal points. These designs give the impression of abstract compositions until they are viewed from one specific location called the focal point. Then an illusion can be created of any image such as a word, symbol or an illustration. These sculpture compositions vary from simple designs to complex configurations, some with multiple focal point images. The image complexity controls the basic structure of form and also inspires the variety of abstraction. Treble Clef Pirouette portrays a swirling abstract composition of the ballet dance movement called a pirouette. When viewed from one direction, called the focal point, it flows from an abstraction into the image of a treble clef.
